Bessie Wright McNeil

Departed this life August 15, 2011. Evangelist Bessie McNeil of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, John P. McNeil and two sons, John A. and Edward McNeil. She is survived by two daughters, Katherine McNeil and Aggie Roberts; two sons, Sylvester and Danny McNeil; 25 grandchildren, among them a devoted John McNeil Jr. ; 33 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; one great great greatgrandchild one sister, Martha Williams; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three daughters-in-law, Delores, Eula Mae and Selma McNeil; one son-in-law ,Dickie Roberts; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1PM at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Wednesday.
