Averett, Departed this life March 25, 2008. Mrs. Sallie J. Averett of Mechanicsville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Meredith and Rossie R. Taylor and husbands, James Harris and Saunders Averett. She is survived by 3 cousins, Earl L.Brown Jr., (Mary) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Willis Mannie Harris; a host of other cousins and family and friends, among them Ms. Jane Roane, spiritual daughter Emily Dixon,(Romeo) and Patricia Young and family. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home 2011 Grayland Ave. where family will recive friends 11AM Saturday, followed by funeral services at 12 Noon. Dr. Ricardo Brown off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
