Alberta LaVerne Wilson

Mrs. Alberta "Be Be" Wilson, age 84, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Brooklyn, New York and Richmond, Virginia, departed this life on July 5, 2025. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Homer Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Stewart (Jubert); three grandchildren, Christina Legree (Anderson), Devin Martin (Muritza) and David Stewart (Porshauna); six great grandchildren; one sister, Jacquelyn Harris (Kenneth); one brother, John Rush; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Wilson can be viewed on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00pm. Rev. James Johnson, Officiating. Interment, private. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:45pm on Friday.
