Annie Diana Beavers, affectionately known as Diane, passed away on March 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by unwavering devotion, hard work, and a generous spirit. Born on October 4, 1942, in Richmond, Virginia, Diane’s life was a testament to dedication both to her family and her community.
A proud graduate of Maggie L. Walker High School’s class of 1961, Diane carried the lessons and values she gained from her education throughout her life. She devoted many years working at SunTrust Bank before courageously stepping into entrepreneurship as the owner of Leave it to Beaver Child Care. Her commitment to nurturing children reflected her caring nature and relentless determination.
Diane’s involvement with the Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond was a cornerstone of her life. She took immense pride in her role as a Deaconess and was known for her steadfast commitment to the church’s missions and youth activities. Her favorite pastime included organizing and participating in youth trips with church organizations, a reflection of her passion for guiding and supporting young lives through faith and fellowship.
Described by all who knew her as a giver, always caring and hardworking, Diane touched many lives not only through her business and church but also through the warmth and strength she brought to her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Wanda Beavers; two devoted sons, Floyd M. Beavers Jr. and Keith H. Beavers; three cherished grandchildren; and her loving sister, Mary Carr Davis. Diane’s extended family includes two nieces, a host of cousins, and many relatives and friends who continue to celebrate her life and legacy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Willie Davis and Johnnie Dell Davis, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.
Funeral services to honor Annie Diana Beavers will be held at the Fifth Baptist Church, located at 1415 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23220, on April 11, 2026. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 1:00 PM.
As we remember Diane, we reflect on a life filled with faith, generosity, and dedication. Her example as a Deaconess and community leader, and her role as a nurturing mother and grandmother, stand as lasting testaments to a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with respect and admiration.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites anyone who feels led to give to share contributions with Wanda. A donatin will be made in Diane Beaver's honorto the Fifth Baptist Scholarship Fund, celebrating her life and the love she poured into others.
