Antonio "Tony" Jefferson, a beloved handyman known for his skill in building and his infectious humor, passed away on May 22, 2026. Born on March 21, 1989, in Richmond, VA, Tony was a spirited and energetic individual whose caring nature touched all who knew him. He attended Richmond Public Schools and later pursued a career as a self-employed handyman, a path he approached with dedication and pride—his proudest accomplishment being the successful establishment of his own business, T&L Handyman service.

Tony’s personality was marked by a vibrant sense of humor and a lively spirit, traits that made him a cherished companion at family gatherings and social occasions. Those closest to him remember him as a man who was not only talented in his trade but also deeply loving and generous with his time and energy. He had a passion for fashionable dressing, fishing, sports cars, and swimming, hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his mother, Collette Mapp, and father, Antonio Jefferson Sr.; his four sisters, Latoya James (Rob), Anshon Mapp, Bianca Jefferson, and Antoinette Mapp; as well as an extensive extended family comprising fifteen aunts, six uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who all held him dear. Tony was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ethel and Vincent Mapp Sr., and his paternal grandparents, Mary E. Jefferson and Preston Russell.

A funeral service to honor Tony's life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM  at Fifth Baptist Church located at 1415 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23220. This service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and all whose lives he touched to come together in remembrance and celebration of a man who brought lightness and warmth wherever he went.

Antonio "Tony" Jefferson's legacy is one of laughter, hard work, and heartfelt connections. His contribution to his community through his craft and his presence will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a lasting impression of a man who lived life with great spirit, humor, and care.
