Barbara Carol Chavis

Mrs. Barbara Carol Chavis, age 79, of Richmond, departed this life on February 7, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Chavis Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Belinda Chavis; one son, Robert L. Chavis Jr. (Valerie); four grandchildren, Brianda, JaNell, Kori and Kordell Chavis; three brothers, Samuel "Man" Edwards (Jeanette), Frankie Edwards (Joyce) and William Leon Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother-in-law, Charles Chavis; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Chavis can be viewed on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00am. Rev. Ralph Hodge, Eulogist. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45am on Tuesday.
