Barbara Jean Phillips

Barbara Jean Phillips was born in Richmond, VA, to Josephine Easter Phillips and Charlie Phillips, on 9/20/49, and moved to New Jersey at 18.

Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, two children, Derrick and Veronica Phillips; daughter-in-law, Kasona Phillips; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Patricia Phillips, Gloria Phillips; aunts, Rosa Hoover, Shirley Page; sisters, Carolyn Cosby, Ernestine Whiters and Joyce Phillips; brothers, Bubba Phillips, Ronnie Phillips and James Phillips; brother-in-law, Thomas Whiters; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Barbara was a hard working woman but was the life of the party. She loved shopping and dressing. You couldn’t tell her she wasn’t the best dressed. She loved to travel to see her family and friends in Richmond, when she was in New Jersey.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00am.
