Blanche Whitaker

Departed this life April 17th, 2022. Mrs. Blanche T. Whitaker, age 98, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonzo Whitaker and one son, Frank Taylor. She is survived by one son, a devoted Wesley Taylor Sr.; three grandchildren, Robert Taylor, Sharonda Holloway(Mark) and Wesley Taylor Jr.(Dena); six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter- in- law, Catherine Taylor; and other relatives and friends among them two devoted friends, Carol Allen and Hattie Jackson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Hom, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Whitaker can be viewed Thursday between 10am and 8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday 1PM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown (pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Friday.
