Carlton High

Departed this life January 6th, 2023.  Carlton High, age 65, formerly of Garysburg, North Carolina.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa High.  He is survived by three sons, Darius Williams(Johnetta);  Carlton Mangrum(Sonya) and Christopher High;  six grandchildren;  six sisters, Mildred Williams(Francis), Pearlean Hill, Orlean Bowman, Velvet Holmes(Dennis), Connie Jeffress(Charles) and Rebecca Wilkins; five brothers, Jimmy High, Isaac Mangum, William Henry Mangum(Connie), Herman Mangum(Carla), and Jeremiah Mangum(Sharon);  a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins;  one brother- in- law, Joe Stepheson;  and other relatives and friends among them his god son, Stepfone Atkins.  Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr.  Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland where Mr.  High can be viewed Thursday from 10AM to 8PM and where funeral services will be held Friday at 3PM.  Interment private.  Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 2:45PM Friday.
