Carolyn Volley Washington

Mrs. Carolyn Volley Washington, age 73, of Richmond, departed this life on October 9, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Washington Jr. She is survived by one sister, Sabrina Volley Montague; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Dr. Frank Branch III, Pastor, Rev Dr. John E. Johnson, Eulogist. Interment, Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45am on Saturday.
