Christine Pride Clarke

Mrs. Christine Pride Clarke, age 87, of Richmond, departed this life on September 10, 2026. She is survived by her husband, James E. Clarke; two daughters, Marquita Brown and Kimberley Brown; two sons, Darryl Brown and Roland Brown; three grandchildren, Devan Snead, Brian Snead and Lamont Brown; one great granddaughter, Luna Snead; two sisters, Esther Quarles and Cynthia Booker (Franklin); one brother, Dexter Goode (Darlene); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters-in-law, Georgia Nelson and Joyce Yates; three brothers-in-law, Winfree Clarke, Walter Clarke and Benjamin Clarke (Patricia); other relatives and friends, among them devoted, Irene Starkes, Mary White and Doris Wells. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00am, at Fourth Baptist Church, 2800 P Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Kelvin Green, Eulogist. Interment, Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45am on Friday.
