Claude Elworth Henley

Claude Henley, age 89, affectionately known as “Vert” peacefully drifted into eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born in Goochland County, Virginia to the late Claude and Minnie Henley. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorine B. Henley; three daughters; Rose Bagby (Gerald), Veronica Phillips (Bob) and Vanessa Morris; three sons, Alvert (Lynette), John (Julie), and Kenny Henley. He has 31 grandchildren and a host of great and great great grandchildren; one brother, Earl Henley; six sisters-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Remains will be with Joseph Jenkins Funeral Home at 2011 Grayland Ave Avenue where Mr. Henley can be viewed Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 994 Three Chopt Rd. where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Reverend Dr. Emanuel C. Harris (Pastor) off. Interment Church Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church at 1:45 PM on Saturday.
