Daniel Lee Warren

Daniel Lee Warren was born on January 20, 1967, to Rosa Warren Smith and Eldridge Smith, Sr. in Richmond, Virginia.  Daniel departed this life on August 19, 2022 after several years of dealing with many health challenges.

Daniel graduated from Armstrong High School, Richmond. He was known to be a dedicated employee wherever he worked because he worked hard and almost always worked more than one job at a time.   He worked for many years at Delta Hotel Industries and KFC, fulfilling different roles over the years.  He was known to be a quiet man but very reliable.

Daniel loved music!  He moonlighted as a DJ at an array of parties and events, earning the nickname, DJ Boone. Daniel loved to cook and he loved the Cowboys. Joyce wants the world to know that Daniel loved the Lord, and that he was kind-hearted, lovable, helpful to all, and a great provider.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his devoted companion Joyce Ivey; his children Jamal Ivey, Javon Allen, Sr. (Tanisha Allen), and Damond Allen; grandchildren Javon Allen, Jr., A’Tialya Allen, Carly Allen, Davion Allen, and Damir Allen; brother Eldridge Smith, Jr. and sisters Yvette Dianne Smith Coleman and Shontell Smith; two aunts Darlene Burrell and Shirley Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
