David Sims Jr.

Gained his heavenly reward on March 26^th after a long battle with cancer. David was 73, born in Richmond’s west end, is survived by his wife, Darlene Royall Sims; three siblings: Arlene Jenkins (Carl), Eugene Sims (Arnita), Otis Sims, Sr. (Angela); eight children: Oran Sims, Deridre Bias (Andre), Sheron Sims, Jermaine Sims, Javar Sims, Keishana Carn, Ronald Sherrill (Tracy) and Aquwanda Sherrill; three aunts: Virginia Price, Dora Ross, Clara Holmes, one great-great aunt Marie Gray; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 9^th, 12 Noon at Second Baptist Church, 3300 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, with viewing at 11AM. Reverend Ralph Hodge, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA.
