Departed this life January 28th, 2023. Devon Thornton, age 33, of Richmond. He is survived by two daughters, Cherasia and Camillia Thornton; his mother, Rochanda Thornton; his father, Willard Coker; maternal grandfather, Clarence Thornton Sr.; three sisters, Winee’ Tyson, Aliyia Carrington(Lindale), and Clara Coker; one brother, Anfernee Thornton; five aunts, Gloria Thornton, Michele McLaurin and Winifred, Wanda & Wanna Coker; two uncles, Clarence Thornton Jr. and Willie Coker; a host of great aunts and great uncles, cousins; and other relatives and friends among them his devoted companion, Lynice Murray. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Thornton can be viewed Friday from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 215 Wilkinson Road, Richmond 23227 where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Samuel Barnes off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
