Ellen Aretha Saunders

Mrs. Ellen B. Saunders, age 90, of Richmond, departed this life on December 21, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Saunders. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon S. Collins (Ben); one son, Dwayne A. Saunders (Gloria); six grandchildren, Ashley Matthews (Michael), Allie and Aaron Saunders, Candyce A. Saunders (Michael) and Benjamin X. Collins; one great granddaughter, Lolana Saunders; three brothers-in-law, John Brackett Jr., Forrest Brackett and Joseph Brackett; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; brother-in-law, Aaron Saunders; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Saunders can be viewed on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:30am. Interment, Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 11:15am, on Monday.
