Emmett Lloyd Griffin Sr., age 72, of Richmond, departed this life on August 23, 2026.He is preceded in death by one son, Emmett Griffin Jr. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Griffin; one son, Keith Darnell Merritt; two grandchildren, RaShaad Robinson and Sherkie Thompson; four great grandchildren; one sister, Clara Wilson; one brother, John Griffin; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Agorsor (James), and Gloria Saunders (Dwayne); one brother-in-law, Gary McCollum (Cookie), other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Griffin can be viewed on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 1:00pm. Interment, private. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Wednesday.
