Departed this life April 27th, 2024. Mrs. Ethel A. Parker, age 88, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Parker Sr., one son, Larry Parker and one granddaughter, Tarsha Parker. She is survived by two daughters, Elsie Holmes(Alfred) and Barbara Parker; four sons, Gene Parker Jr., Robert Parker(Masheila), Clinton Parker and Mark Parker(Felicia); thirteen grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them Vilma Burris. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Parker can be viewed Sunday from 11AM to 6PM. Funeral services will be held Monday 11AM at First African Baptist Church, 2700 Hanes Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Rodney Waller(pastor). Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First African Baptist Church - Prayer Warriors.
