Freddie Clifton Bassett, Sr.

Freddie C. Bassett Sr., age 84, of Richmond, departed this life on July 20, 2025. He is survived by two sons, Freddie A. Bassett Jr. (Sharon) and John L. Bassett (Sharon); three grandchildren, Anthony Miles, Ashley White and DeJohn Bassett; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Mays; one brother, John Bassett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, among them, his devoted companion, Shirley Barnes. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Bassett can be viewed on Thursday July 31, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00am. Interment private. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45am on Friday.
