Gaines William Dupree Jr.

Gaines Dupree Jr., age 87, of Richmond, departed this life on October 9, 2025. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Dupree. He is survived by one daughter, Ann Phillips (Tyrone); one grandson, MacKenzie Phillips; a host of nieces, among them, Harriet Hoover, Carolette Dupree, Iris Dupree and Carrie Dupree; a host of cousins; one sister-in-law, Alma Henderson; other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Dupree can be viewed on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 12noon. Interment, Dale Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home 11:45am on  Monday.
