Departed this life July 16, 2025. Ms. Gladys Marie Payne, age 66, of Roanoke, originally of Richmond. She is survived by one son, Yoshitto Payne; four grandchildren; her mother, Eleanor Payne; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them a devoted, Evangelist Brenda Grooms; other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Ms. Payne can be viewed on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00pm. Prophetess Margaret Chenault, eulogist. Interment, Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Friday.
