BROOKS, James Lee, 90, of Richmond, departed this Earth September 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Crump; father, Lee Winston Carr; stepfather, John Crump; brother, William Brooks; daughter, Janet Wright and son, Gregory Brooks. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cora Elizabeth Brooks; children, Larry Brooks, Freddie Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Malinda Brooks-Williams and Delores Kimbrough; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel, 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220. The Funeral service will be held at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, October 8, at 1:00pm.
