James Louis Burrell Jr.

James Louis Burrell Jr, age 92, of Richmond, departed this life on December 13, 2025. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Velda Denise Burrell. He is survived by three daughters, Wanda Cobb, Sandra Carter (Isaac) and Janice Sanders (Robert); one son, James Burrell III(Phyllis); seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Florence Burrell; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Burrell can be viewed on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 11:00am, at Abundant Life Church of Christ, 3700 Goodell Road, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Pastor Gary A. Foreman. Interment, Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45am on Saturday.
