James Ernest Shelton

Departed this life June 16, 2025. James E. Shelton, age 62, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his mother Martha Shelton, his brothers, Samuel and Andre Shelton, stepson, Reginald McDuffie and grandson Miracle LaVontae Shelton. He is survived by the mother of his sons Linora McDuffie; three sons James Shelton Jr., Thomas Shelton and Jamal Seward; one brother Lance Shelton (Tonya); one aunt, Barbara Gattison; a host of nieces among them Letesha Cooper, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Shelton can be viewed on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 1:00pm. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home 12:45pm on Wednesday.
