Javare Hargrove, affectionately known to many as "Var," was born on April 26, 1984, in Richmond, Virginia. He departed this life on December 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by warmth, generosity, and an unwavering spirit.
A proud graduate of Highland Springs High School, Javare carved out a successful career as a barber, where he was known not just for his skillful hands but for his extraordinary ability to connect with people. His passion for his work was evident, as he spent his days ensuring that every client left his chair feeling better than they arrived. A true people person, he was outgoing and loved by everyone who crossed his path.
Javare was also a devoted family man, cherishing his role as a loving father to his two sons, Javare Brooks and Kevarlo Hargrove. He shared a deep bond with his mother, Pamela Hargrove, who provided him with endless support throughout his life. He is survived by his siblings, Daiquan Hargrove, Keshana Harvey and Shawn White, along with a wealth of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry at least a piece of his vibrant spirit with them.
In addition to his professional and familial endeavors, Javare had a zest for life that was palpable. He took great joy in going out, seeking adventure, and enjoying life's simple pleasures. Among his interests, he was a devoted fan of football, particularly the Philadelphia Eagles, and his enthusiasm for the sport often brought people together in joyful commiseration or celebration.
His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him, particularly as he was predeceased by his father, Jeffrey Feggins. As friends and family gather to honor and remember Javare, they will undoubtedly reflect on the countless memories of laughter, love, and togetherness that he gifted to their lives.
Funeral services for Javare Hargrove will be held on January 2, 2026, at the Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral Home located at 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220, starting at 1:00 PM.
