Departed this life August 8th, 2022. Jerry L. Newsome Sr., age 75, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by one son, Dexter Newsome. He is survived by his wife, Romine Newsome; two daughters, Stephanie Riley(Henry), and Gin-Nine Morrison(Harper); one son, Jerry L Newsome Jr.; one sister, Joann Atkins; one brother, Charles Newsome; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother- in- law, Troy Weatherspoon and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Newsome can be viewed Sunday 11AM to 6PM and where the funeral will be held on 1 PM Monday. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Monday.
