John Milton Harris Sr.

John Milton Harris Sr., age 80, of Richmond, departed this life on August 31, 2026. He retired from the Richmond City Police Department, attended Richmond Public Schools and served in the U.S. Army. He was also a long-time member of Club 533. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Harris and one daughter, Keisha Harris. He is survived by one son, John Harris Jr. (Ryan); one granddaughter, Riley Harris; eight step grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Harris (Pam); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends, among them a devoted, Anne Deloatch. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, and where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:30am. Rev. Ray Smith, Officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15am on Wednesday.
