John Leroy Saunders

John Leroy Saunders, age 79, of Richmond, departed this life on August 29, 2026. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Williams, his son, Tyrone Lamont Williams and stepdaughter, Sandra Williams. He is survived by one daughter, Tishelle Cosby; three stepdaughters, Pamela, Debra and Cheryl Williams; two granddaughters, Dion and Destiny Cosby; nine step-grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Bailey and Erma Horne (Demus); one aunt, Evelyn Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Saunders can be viewed on Friday, September 4, 2026. from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 1:00pm. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Saturday.
