age 73, of Richmond, departed this life July 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Fontaine Witcher. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jackson; one daughter, Shawandra Jackson; two sons, Alphonso Jackson (Tonisha) and Joseph Jackson Jr.; three stepchildren, Cynthia Bates (Bernard), Ronnie Witcher (Pamela) and Pamela Perkins (Billy); 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Phyllis Jackson, Esther Hawkins, Betty Jackson, Deloris Timberlake and Charlene Wyche; two brothers, Douglas Jackson (Mary) and Roper Wyche (Arletha); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Janice Witcher; two sisters-in-law, Ursel Tucker (Warner) and Shelia Kemmer; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Jackson can be viewed Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Rev. Ursel Tucker officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home.
