Lamar Mandel Shelton

Lamar Mandel Shelton, age 54, of Richmond, departed this life on April 5, 2026. He is survived by his mother, Rev. Sharon Shelton; one sister, Tracy Williams; one aunt, Rosalind Shelton; two uncles, Eugene Shelton Jr. (Vernita) and Wilbert Parker Jr. (Linda); two nieces; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, 12noon, at First Union Baptist Church, 3510 Dill Road, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Pierce Williams, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:45am on Monday.
