Lena Bernice Buckingham

Mrs. Lena B. Buckingham, age 78, of Richmond, departed this life on October 15, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Buckingham. She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Wood and Michelle Murrow; one son, Aubrey Murrow(Rita); six grandchildren, Brandon Doyle, Daquan Smith, Kahlil Murrow, Juwuan Smith, Kerrell Wood and Xavier Murrow; four great grandchildren, Sarai Doyle, Uri Doyle, Ava Smith and Lia Smith; three sisters, Gwendolyn Hite, Barbara Harris(Richard) and Betty Harvell(Victor); one brother, Eric Hayes(Darlene); two aunts, Alease Baskerville and Ruth Goode; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Mary Buckingham; brother-in-law, Melvin Buckingham; other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Buckingham can be viewed on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1:00pm. Dr. Jean Hayes Cunningham, Eulogist. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Thursday.
