Levar Tyre Tazewell

Levar Tyre Tazewell, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on May 3, 1978, in Nassawadox, Virginia, Levar lived a life that was characterized by his dedication to his family and his profession in construction. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud graduate of Liberty High School in Hinesville, Georgia, Levar was more than just a skilled tradesman; he was a hard worker who consistently put others before himself. Those who worked alongside him admired his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in every project he undertook.

Levar's personality resonated with warmth and kindness. He enjoyed making people happy and had an outgoing and friendly demeanor that drew others to him. His presence could light up a room, and friends often remarked on how approachable and easygoing he was. Levar found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing and playing cornhole, activities that brought him happiness and created cherished memories with his loved ones.

Most importantly, Levar was a devoted father. He loved his children, LeBran and Diamond Tazewell, and was a deeply caring husband to his wife, Claudia Tazewell. Levar's family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in being a supportive and engaged parent, always striving to create a nurturing environment for his children.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Tazewell; his mother, Sharon Renee Smith Tazewell; his father, Roosevelt Tazewell Sr.; his children, LeBran and Diamond Tazewell; his two brothers, LaBron (Lizear) Tazewell and Roosevelt Jr. (Nichole) Tazewell; his maternal grandmother, Bernice E. Smith; and his uncle, Larry Tazewell. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who are heartbroken by his untimely loss.

A funeral service to celebrate Levar's life will be held on July 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral Home located at 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering a man whose joyful spirit and unwavering support touched so many lives.

Levar Tyre Tazewell's memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
