Mattie Peace Allen

Transitioned peacefully from this earthly world to the spiritual world on June 15th, 2024. Mrs. Mattie P. Allen, age 95, of Richmond. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Spearman; two sons Norman “Zeno” Shelton and Dr. Harry Shelton; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; a host of nieces among them Zenoria Abdus-Salaam, nephews and cousins among them devoted Lenora Myers Miller and Sandra Miller; and other relatives and friends among them her lifelong best friend Clara Henderson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mrs. Allen can be viewed Friday from 10AM to 8PM and where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1PM. Interment private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Saturday.
