Melvin Allen Beatty

Melvin Allen Beatty, age 83, of Richmond, departed this life on March 20, 2026. He is preceded in death by one son, Michael Williams, and one grandson, Nigel Coleman. He is survived by three daughters, Melonie Beatty, Tamara Williams and Larae McKinney; one son, Brandon Beatty; one stepson, Dione Roberts (Veronica); seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Roles and Sheila Hooper; one aunt, Barbara Shaw; other relatives and friends, among them, his life parter, Francine Hargrove. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00pm, at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Dr. Gregory Fisher, Officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Saturday.
