Melvin Lorenzo Woody

Melvin Lorenzo Woody, age 69, of Richmond, departed this life on March 31, 2026. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Sydnor and Sherita King; one son, Melvin Reese; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven sisters, Faith Williams, Greselda Woody, Gail Singleton, Hilda Tune (Joseph), Susan Dickerson, Wanda Cupitt (Kevin) and April Epps; one brother, Wayne Woody(Jan); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Rhonda Woody; one brother-in-law, Charlie Redd; other relatives and friends, among them, his companion, Sheila Sydnor.

Memorial services will be held at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, at 12noon, Saturday April 11, 2026. Apostle Carlton Sydnor, Officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 11:45am on Saturday.
