Patsy Elizabeth Hayes

Mrs. Patsy Hayes, age 78, of Richmond, departed this life on February 20, 2026. She is preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Edward Young and James Robert Hayes Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Robert Hayes Sr.; one daughter, Denise Armstrong (Johnny); five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Regina Adams; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Young; one sister-in-law, Mary Thomas (Julian); one brother-in-law, Thomas Lee Hayes, other relatives and friends. 

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Sharon Baptist Church, 500 East Laburnum Avenue, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Dr. Paul A. Coles, Pastor. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church 10:45am on Monday.
