Raymond "Frank" Chatmon Jr., born on March 16, 1962, passed away on July 22, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support that touched all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Raymond was a educated in Richmond Public Schools. His years in Richmond helped shape the man he became and nurtured his strong sense of dedication to his family, friends, and community. Raymond was well-known for his caring nature, always extending a helping hand to those in need. His work ethic was exemplary, and he was admired for his reliability and steadfast presence in the lives of his loved ones.

Those closest to Raymond will remember him as someone deeply committed to his family. He is survived by his three sisters, Eloise Chatmon, Rhonda Chatmon, and Michelle Gregory(Mark), as well as his brother, Alvin Chatmon, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. The memory of his warm spirit and devoted companionship will be cherished forever by those who survive him.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Gertrude and Raymond Chatmon Sr., and his brothers, Charles Jordan, Glenn Chatmon, and Andre Chatmon. Though they are no longer here, their influence and love were evident throughout Raymond’s life.

Raymond found joy and relaxation in watching sports, especially basketball and football. These simple pleasures brought him countless hours of enjoyment and provided cherished memories for those who watched alongside him.

Above all, Raymond’s character defined him: caring, helpful, deeply loyal to friends and family, and always ready to work hard for those he loved. His life stands as a testament to the power of kindness and reliability.

Family and friends are invited to honor Raymond’s memory at a funeral service to be held at Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220, on August 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

Raymond Lee Chatmon Jr. will be deeply missed, but his gentle spirit, steadfast loyalty, and loving heart will remain with all who knew him.
