Reverend Sarah Gholson

Departed this life November 23rd, 2023. Rev. Sarah Gholson, age 101, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Gholson and one son, Muncie Hatch. She is survived by four grandchildren; a host of nieces among them Mary Boykin, nephews, cousins, one sister- in- law,  Ella M. Hatch and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Rev. Gholson can be viewed Wednesday from 10AM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:30AM at Hood Temple AME Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Dr Lorenza Meekins(pastor). Rev. Dr. Kevin McGill eulogy. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:15AM Thursday.
