Sadie Mariah Terry, affectionately known as “Sweet Sadie,” was born on June 10, 2011, and transitioned to eternal life on April 24, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Tiffany Terry.
Sadie was an eighth-grade graduate of Thomas H. Henderson Middle School, where she served as a peer mentor to sixth- and seventh-grade girls. Sweet Sadie was vibrant and full of life, with a personality that was both sassy and sweet. She radiated kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered.
Sweet Sadie aspired to pursue a career in the United States Navy as an engineer. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed creating TikTok videos and could get you right if you needed your lashes done. She was always ready to help others look and feel their best.
Sadie was excited about entering high school, following in her big brother’s footsteps, and creating memories of her own.
Sweet Sadie was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Benjamin Cole; great-grandmother, Louise Cole; two great-aunts, Barbara Simms and Betty Allen; and her brother, Zion Terry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Tiffany Terry; brother, Phelix Terry; grandfather, Phillip Adams; grandmother, Annette Terry; aunt, Tafica Terry; uncles, Phillip Terry and Nathaniel (Jasmine); and a host of cousins, great-aunts, and friends.
Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Sadie Terry may be viewed Friday, May 8, 2026, and funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at John Marshall High School, Rev. Tyrone Nelson officiating. Interment, Riverview Cemetery.
