Sears Berkley

Mrs. Sears A. Berkley departed this life December 28th, 2023, at the age of 96. She was born in Brunswick County, Virginia and raised in Richmond, Virginia where she attended public schools. Sears is survived by nieces, Mrs. Rita Henderson (Fennon), Ms. Theresa Roman, Mrs. Thelma Wood, a nephew,  Maurice Edwards (Demitry), three cousins and a host of great and great-great grandnieces and nephews.  She also is survived by a supportive and devoted neighborhood friend, Ms. Margaret Marshall and a small, close-knit community at Essex/St. Luke Apartments, where she was affectionately known as "Mom Berk."                                 Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home will lead grave-side services for Mrs. Berkley on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, at 12:00PM at Riverview Cemetery, 1401 S. Randolph Street, Richmond, VA. Dr. Ricardo Brown officiating.
