Sheree J. Brown Campbell, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on October 10, 1955, in Englewood, New Jersey, where she spent her formative years before embarking on a promising career.
Sheree served as an Administrative Assistant for the General Assembly and the Virginia Election Board, where her dedication and strong work ethic made a lasting impact on those around her. She was a graduate of Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, NJ, and carried with her the values of friendliness, helpfulness, creativity, and strength throughout her life.
A creative spirit, Sheree enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, and traveling, spending her leisure time sharing her talents and passions with loved ones. She was known for being very friendly and approachable, always willing to lend a hand.
Sheree was actively involved in the Elks, where she took on various leadership roles that showcased her commitment to community service and camaraderie. Her proudest accomplishments included being a source of inspiration and support for her family and friends.
She is survived by her four daughters, Terressa Campbell Oten (Bryan), LeRoina Campbell, Patricia Campbell, and Mercedes Miles (Lakeefe), as well as her son, LeRoy Campbell. Sheree's legacy continues through her fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will forever cherish the love and lessons she imparted. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister Catherine Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Sheree was preceded in death by her parents Rev. John W. Brown Sr. and Annie Davis Brown, brother, John W. Brown Jr., and her sisters, Phyllis Brown and Patricia Ann. Brown. Her memory will be honored and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held in her honor at Cedar Street Baptist in Richmond, Virginia, on July 3, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM,
