Departed this life on October 19th, 2024. Ms. Shirley Mae Jones, age 88, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Alston White; one son, Leroy Milton Jones; and one sister, Jean Jones. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jones Johnson; two sons, Moses Purnell Jones (Sherry), and Anthony Jones; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Maggie E. Winston (David); one brother. Steven Jones; two aunts, Doris Carter and Lelia Jones (Howard); other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:30 PM to 7:30PM, and where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home at 10:45AM on Friday.
