Tammy Denise Brown, a beloved member of her community and a dedicated manager at McDonald's, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. Born on December 15, 1965, Tammy was known for her heart of gold and her sweet, soft-spoken personality, often acting as a peacemaker among her family and friends.
Tammy’s educational journey began at John Marshall High School in Richmond, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with nurturing and love. A devoted mother, her proudest accomplishments were the achievements of her children, whom she cherished deeply. She took immense joy in celebrating their successes and supporting them in every endeavor.
Outside of her professional life, Tammy had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She loved shopping and enjoyed spending time watching television, movies, and game shows. Her engaging personality and thoughtful nature won the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Antonio Buck, and her three daughters, Mahagani Johnson, Khrishai, and Niasiai Brown. She also leaves behind her sons, Hubbard and Daytron Brown, and six grandchildren who brought her an immeasurable amount of joy. Tammy was a beloved sister to Angela and Shawn Brown, and a dear brother to Keith Brown. She is also remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
Tammy reunites in eternal rest with her mother, Leona Brown; her son, Nyjai Johnson; her sister, Lorraine Brown; and her brother, Carlos Brown. Their memories will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.
A funeral service to honor Tammy's life will be held on August 1, 2025, at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home located at 2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220. The service is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM, and all are welcome to pay their respects.
Tammy Denise Brown will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and her gentle spirit that touched so many lives. She leaves a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those she cherished.
