THELMA ARRINGTON BRANCH, the fifth of nine children born to the late George and Florence Arrington, departed this life peacefully at the age of 92 on July 9, 2022. She was born December 18, 1929, in Richmond, Va.  There she grew up and was educated in the Richmond Public School system.  She was a Christian and faithful member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church for many years. Her career path was an achievement to become a nurse at MCV which she fulfilled for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying things such as bingo, playing cards, dominos, Chinese checkers and cooking her homemade soup and corn pudding. Thelma was the mother of three sons, two of which preceded her in death,  Richard Branch Sr. & Michael Branch Sr.  Also proceeding her in death are seven siblings: Madelyne, Cleveland, Ruth, George, Odessa, Arah and Celestine Morrison. She leaves to cherish her memory nine grandchildren; Richard Jr., Michael Jr., Marlon, NaTosha, Siobhan, KryShe’, KryShena, James III, and JaMontre’; sixteen great-grandchildren, one son, James Jr., one sister, Carolyn Arrington, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Branch will have a memorial service Sunday July 31, 2PM in the chapel.
