Thelma Louise McLendon

Mrs. Thelma Wilson McLendon, age 90, of Richmond, departed this life on December 8, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McLendon Sr., one son, Thomas McLendon Jr., father and mother, Harold Sr. and Hester Wilson, two sisters, Mildred Graham and Hilda Gray and one brother, Harold Wilson Jr. 

She is survived by two daughters, Wynema McLendon and Michelle Hicks (Kenneth); one son, Michael McLendon Sr.; two bonus daughters, Vickie Morris and Amelia McLendon; five grandchildren, Rodric Drumgold (Krystal), Arielle McCollum, Marquia Gunn(Clif), Michael McLendon Jr. (Shara) and Raquel Drumgold; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, 12 noon, at Third Street Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 614 North Third Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Reuben Boyd, Pastor, Officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:45am on Saturday.
