Virginia "Cookie" Wheless

Mrs. Virginia “Cookie” Wheless, age 92, of Richmond, departed this life on July 7, 2026. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Christmas, and one son, Milton Rogers Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Mary Rogers Pope, Linda Baskerville, Carolyn Boyd (Alvin Jr.) and Tracey Gassoway (Christopher); two sons, Luther Talley Jr. and James Wheless (Joyce); a host of grand and great grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Jones, Allie Mae Epps and Lisa Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Burnetta Jones; other relatives and friends. 

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00am, at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:45am on Monday.
