Wayne Darrell Godwin

Departed this life on February 15, 2022, Wayne Darrell Godwin,62, of Henrico. A native of Tasley (Accomack County), he is preceded in death by his father, Robert Godwin, Sr. and brother, Nathan Godwin, Sr. He is survived by three daughters, Yulanda Wharton of Accomac,  Tiera  Cuffee and Taliajh Godwin of Virginia Beach;  his mother, Doris Savage Hack of Henrico; three sisters, Justine (Marvin, Sr.) Jones of Mechanicsville,  Doris (Leroy, Jr.)  Allgood of Glen Allen and Iris (Vincent) Cooper of Henrico; one brother, Robert (Dr. Shevelle) Godwin, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; two grandsons, Hakeem and Orion Wharton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Third Street Bethel AMEC-  614 North Third Street, Richmond. The Rev. Reuben J. Boyd, Jr., pastor will officiate. Remains rest at the Joseph Jenkins, Jr.  Funeral Home where Mr. Godwin may be viewed on Monday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interment will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
