William J. Jefferson

Departed this life August 30th, 2023. William Junious Jefferson, age 82, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by two sons, William Ford Jefferson and Weldon Jefferson. He is survived by four daughters, Bonita Miles(Orlando), Angelette Walker(Leroy), Patricia Bassett(Victor) and LaFonda Williams(Mark); one son, Raymond Jefferson; a host of grand, great grand and great great grand children; four sisters, Barbara White, Linda Hinnant(Rufus), Brenda Johnson and Monica Johnson;   four brothers, Marvin Bailey(Linda), Melvin Johnson, Tony Johnson(Jackie) and Ronald Johnson(Beverly); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister- in- law; and other relatives and friends among them his devoted companion, Regina Pollard. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where Mr. Jefferson can be viewed Sunday from 11AM to 5:30PM and where funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM. Rev. Samuel Cotton off. Interment private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Monday.
