William Neal

William Neal, born on July 7, 1943, in Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025. A devoted resident of his hometown, William dedicated a significant part of his life to serving others, notably through his work at The Jefferson Hotel. His commitment to hospitality was matched only by his passion for cooking and sharing meals, activities that brought him immense joy and were a cornerstone of his daily life.

William was known for his warm personality; he always had a smile that could brighten the day of anyone he encountered. His easy-going nature was reflected in his belief that nothing bothered him, a testament to his positive outlook on life. He leaves behind a cherished legacy of kindness and laughter that will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, among them devoted Margaret Robinson, as well as cousins who will carry forward his spirit and teachings. William was predeceased by his sister, Cora Elizabeth Neal, and his brother, Ericson Abraham Neal, both of whom he treasured dearly.

A memorial service to honor William's life will be held on May 8, 2025, at Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. The service will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. Here, family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and find comfort in one another during this time of remembrance.
